Harry Shearer, who made his name on Saturday Night Live and as a writer and star of This Is Spinal Tap, plays the ultimate villain — Mr. Burns — on The Simpsons (he’s also the voice of Ned Flanders, among others). But tomorrow at the Slipper Room in the heart of Hell Square, he’ll discuss a still greater villain, President Richard Nixon, whom he plays on a series that you can now watch online.

Woo Hoo! Every Monday this March, Nitehawk Cinema will be screening four episodes in its countdown of the 17 best Simpsons episodes of all time (according to Nitehawk, anyway). You can bet the recent episode featuring this Downton Abbey parody didn’t make the cut. Nitehawk’s pick for its #1 Episode screens March 31st, followed by the Simpsons Movie. Like most males who grew up in the ’80s, Mr. Throwback was enamored with the Chicago Bulls. When he came home from college and rediscovered his childhood room, which was lovingly decorated with Bulls paraphernalia, the pleasant feeling of nostalgia prompted him to start poking around the Internet for other nifty finds. He then purchased 1,000 jerseys and 1,000 hats (sure, why not), which he started selling at the Hells Kitchen Flea at 39th and Ninth.
