Get ready to spot some stars — the movie Maggie’s Plan, starring Julianne Moore, Ethan Hawke and Greta Gerwig, is slated to begin filming in the East Village next month.

We spotted this letter today on the door of an East 10th Street apartment building, between First Avenue and Avenue A. The filmmakers plan to shoot in the area on February 23, 24, and 25 and are seeking a first- or second-floor apartment for interiors and exteriors. So maybe some lucky local will get the surreal experience of seeing Julianne Moore sipping a glass of water in their kitchen?

A day after Jared Leto graced Bushwick with his presence yesterday, another actor/rocker, Jason Schwartzman, was in the East Village today. A source spotted the indie moppet on the set of Mozart in the Jungle, the Amazon original series he’s co-producing with Roman Coppola.

Gird your lofts. North Brooklyn is set to be enshrined (yet again) in the ageless portals of our most glorious medium—I’m talking of course of television—in a pair of NBC/Universal productions currently in pre-production. And the studio wants YOU to help make it happen.

Location scouts for both The Slap (a miniseries based on Christos Tsiolkas’ celebrated novel of the same name) and Mr Robot (a pilot about a young, socially awkward programmer who decides he can only connect to people by hacking them) have been loitering and flyer-posting in the Williamsburg/Bushwick vicinity.
