It’s like I’m on the set of a police series. Is it CSI or SVU? I’ve never been good with acronyms. Two cops escort me while an attendant pushes my squeaking wheelchair through the gloomy hallways of Wyckoff Medical Center’s ER. A drunkard soliloquizes in Polish, a crumpled woman has a coughing fit, and a patient in pajamas stares into space and smiles.
A car collided with a motorcyclist and smashed into Retro Fitness in Williamsburg this afternoon, spraying the corner of Berry and North 3rd Street with glass.

Today, the Queens driver who crashed his car into the East Village Farm & Grocery Store last summer was indicted on several additional charges, including murder in the second degree.

The most dangerous intersections in the East Village and LES, according to information submitted by CBs 2 and 3 to the Manhattan Borough President’s office.
It happened again this morning: around 7 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Bowery and Hester. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with minor cuts to the hand and face, according to a fire department spokesperson.

Thought Citi Bike would result in “total carnage”? WRONG. Unless you count some punny vandalism, the apocalypse on two wheels has yet to materialize. In the East Village, at least.
“Everyone thought Citi Bike was going to be way worse, with accidents all over the place, things getting stolen left and right,” a police source told Bedford + Bowery. Not quite: Citi Bike-related crime has been surprisingly low.

Some answers are arriving in the aftermath of yesterday’s ugly car crash in the East Village. Police say that three employees at East Village Farm & Grocery, the bodega plowed into by the car, were injured, along with one bicyclist; all are expected to survive.

A car hopped the curb in the East Village this morning, mowing down everything in its path and sending 8 people to the hospital, according to the fire department.
“It was a scene out of a movie,” said Rafael, a witness who didn’t want his last name used.
