The Brazilian new rave band CSS takes their name from an acronym of "cansei de ser sexy," which translates from Portuguese as "I got tired of being sexy." It's taken from a reported quote by Beyonce. The band's latest single, the infectious, tropical-flavored “Hits Me Like a Rock” (featuring Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie) has become a summer favorite, perfect for both backyard barbeques and all night dance parties.

"Revered producer, bass virtuoso, composer and sound artist, Squarepusher constantly strives to push the boundaries and limits of electronic music...Last year Squarepusher unleashed his latest musical venture ‘Ufabulum’, an album of music generated purely from digital programming, harking back to acid techno roots and pushing into uncharted territories." - (le) Poisson Rouge. A second performance takes place the following night.

The choral, symphonic pop-rock group from North Texas, led by Tim DeLaughter, bring all of their instruments - choir, flute, trumpet, french horn, trombone, violin, viola, cello, percussion, piano, guitars, bass, drums, electronic keyboards and EWI - to the Music Hall of Williamsburg for what's sure to be a kaleidoscopic, uplifting set. The group will perform the following night at the Bowery Ballroom.
