Un-Believable: Tickets For The Interview Are Now On Sale

the-interview-web-poster__mediumFollowing a backlash against its decision to shelve The Interview in light of an aggressive hacking campaign, Sony is now releasing the film in a select number of willing theaters. One of them, the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers, just put tickets on sale for showings from Christmas through New Year’s Day.

All of the screenings except for the New Year’s Eve one are at midnight: the December 31 showing is at 10:35am.

More Episodes of High Maintenance Coming Out of the Pipe Line

Man, the next couple of months are going to be a real treat for narcissistic New Yorkers who get off on seeing their every-day lives wrought large on the small screen: Girls is back January 11 (the Season 4 trailer is here), Season 2 of Broad City premieres January 14 (we got a look at the first episode the other day), and now this: Vimeo tells us the next three episodes of High Maintenance will drop February 5.

Williamsburg has more than its share of down-and-dirty Southern grub (Brooklyn Star, Pies n Thighs, Sweet Chick, The Commodore, etc.) but the team that took over Zebulon’s former home and opened The Heyward there earlier this week is aiming for something a little less defined and a little more refined.

St. Mark’s Poetry Project Announces Lineup For Its 41st New Year’s Marathon

In case you couldn’t tell from all those “best of” lists, 2014 is just about dunzo, which means it’s time to clear New Year’s Day for the St. Mark’s Poetry Project’s annual marathon reading. Now entering its 41st year, the self-described “untamed gathering of the heart’s secret, wild nobility” has lured the likes of Eric Bogosian, William S. Burroughs, Spalding Gray, John Cage, Yoko Ono, Amiri Baraka, Jim Carroll, Kathy Acker, Allen Ginsberg, Patti Smith, and Suzanne Vega (who, by the way, did a song with Dev Hynes at Baby’s All Right earlier this week).
