Several Halloweens ago, the folks at Nightclubbing gave us what was most definitely a treat: vintage footage of The Cramps doing “The Way I Walk” at Irving Plaza. Today, Emily Armstrong and Pat Ivers have dusted off another clip, posting footage of Lux Interior et al doing “Pretty Baby What You Do To Me.” Check it out above, and then watch “The Mac Daddy” as well– it’ll make for the perfect pre-partying music tonight as you get ready to head over to the annual Halloween tribute to The Cramps at Bowery Electric.
Once again, starting at 11pm tonight, an array of performers who’ve been influenced by (and in some cases have played with) the campy, macabre psychobilly/surf-rockers will perform hits like “I Was a Teenage Werewolf” and “Bikini Girls With Machine Guns.”

For real, this year brings some seriously epic guest performers, starting with Kid Congo Powers, whose hair caught on fire at least once while he played guitar with The Cramps. (Apparently, candles and giant bouffants don’t mix.)

Others guests include Martin Rev (Suicide), Eugene Hütz (Gogol Bordello), Lee Ranaldo and Bob Bert (Sonic Youth), Miriam Linna (A-Bones, The Cramps), Mick Collins (The Dirtbombs), Jesse Malin, Jeremy Fury (Jeremy and The Harlequins), Don Fleming (Gumball), Miss Guy (Toilet Boys), Michael Tee (Michael T and the Vanities), and many more.
Alix Brown and Kristin Gallegos will be doing DJ duties, and there’ll be a late-night “Rebel Rouser after party” with DJ Josh Stiles. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door (if they don’t sell out). Look sharp and wear your sunglasses after dark.
