The star roasters at Champion Coffee opened a new flagship shop on Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint this morning. At about 1,800 sq. feet, it’s Champion’s largest store to date and features two espresso machines and plentiful seating.

Alongside the heavenly cold brew, coffee-lovers can expect to find a small menu with options like sandwiches, avocado toast, granola, and pastries. Owner Talitha Whidbee tells us that the new space’s backyard will host outdoor seating and a small-batch coffee roaster beginning in the spring.

The company plans to start wholesaling its coffee to selected retailers in 2017, and Whidbee says that the new shop’s two espresso machines will allow Champion to conduct on-site training for its wholesale customers.

The new space is just across the street from the original Champion location, which closed earlier this year. Champion also has locations at the Bowery Market and 142 Nassau Avenue in Greenpoint.

Champion Coffee, 1107 Manhattan Ave., Greenpoint; 7am to 8pm daily.
