We were so busy sifting through the mounds of stuff out there to keep you out-n-about this weekend– from Essex Street Market’s Block Party to the Ukranian Festival to a bunch of gentrification art shows– that we almost almost forgot to mention a biggie on the scene. But never fear, dear pop culture lovers, this weekend also has your name on it.

Our friends over at Vulture, New York‘s culture blog, are kicking off a two-day festival tomorrow with media luminary peeps like Trever Noah, Shonda Rhimes, Sarah Silverman, and Fred Armisen, among others, in attendance.

Unfortunately, many of the badass events at Vulture Festival are already trailed by waiting lists (what did you expect? These people are awesome, after all). And perhaps you’ve found yourself in that unfortunate ticketless position, either because you got the news too late, or you lost your grip on that plus-one after breaking up with some dude who turned out to be an unemployed freelance programmer and not just a “freelancer.” Ugh. But whatever the case, there’s still some events with space avail which sound like they’d serve as a pretty awesome way to dip your toes into the star-speckled Vulture universe this weekend.

We’re most excited for the live taping of Sex Lives, a weekly podcast about love, lust, dating, technology, sex… and more sex. Regulars Maureen O’Connor (New Yorks sexpert columnist) and David Wallace Wells will be there, along with their guest, the hilarious Phoebe Robinson (co-host of the 2 Dope Queens podcast along with The Daily Show‘s Jessica Williams). This event is free so get it, get it, get it!

But if the gory details of other peoples’ sexscapades aren’t so titillating from your vantage point, there’s still space at exclusive interviews with Ethan Hawke and David Schwimmer, the latter might be finally shedding the ultra-sticky Friends aura that’s been trailing him around since low-waisted jeans were in style, with marquee roles in The Peoples vs OJ Simpson, and a new dark-humor/ drama TV Show, Feed the Beast, in which he plays a single father trying to open a restaurant with a friend who just got out of the clink.

And you’ve still got time left to grip tickets for a comedy night at BAM featuring Sarah Silverman, a pop-culture trivia game show, with the casts of TV Land’s Younger versus FX’s You’re the Worst facing off, and a Rent Sing-along. For more podcasting fun, check out live tapings of Gimlet Media’s Reply All with Alex Goldman and Paul Scheer, and the Vulture TV podcast crew as they interview the co-creators of CW’s Crazy Ex Girlfriend show, Rachel Bloom and Aline Brosh McKenna.

Vulture Festival is happening Saturday May 21 and Sunday May 22. Check the full event lineup here.
