Investigators believe this is the man responsible for a bloody slashing at Silver Spurs yesterday evening.

The NYPD says the unknown man is “black or Hispanic, 15-18 years old and was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.”

The slashing occurred around 8pm, after Bobby Barbot, a 25-year old busboy at the Greenwich Village diner, tried to shoo off a teenager who was soliciting money from customers for his basketball team. Barbot told the New York Post that the teen threatened him and tried to punch him in the face, at which point Barbot, who practices mixed martial arts, “knocked him out.” The teen, who wore dental braces, cleared off, only to return a few minutes later, Barbot told the Post. The attacker allegedly slashed Barbot in the left cheek with a boxcutter and ran away.

Barbot was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he got over 100 stitches. He is said to be in a stable condition.
