Wait how did this one not make Smorgasburg’s new lineup? In a new video by Brooklyn Independent Media, the minds behind the Bushwick Spam — who look a lot like the Greenpoint-dwelling hipster-yuppies from the David Cross’s Hits — eagerly break down their creative process using all the right buzzwords, from “refined, artisanal” to “inspiration, and, you know, frivolity, experimentation.”

“I can taste the terroir of Bushwick,” says Justin Warner of Do or Dine in Bed-Stuy.

Spam Bushwick comes in flavors such as sriracha pickles, and garlic wasabi. The team is also testing a recipe for lactose-intolerant types who still crave that “cheesy flavor.”

Of course, it’s April Fool’s Day, so Bushwick Spam is no doubt about as real as Martha’s Mayonnaise. When we reached out to Brooklyn Independent Media to confirm it, they declined to comment.

Either way, we’d try “lemongrass and coconut oil” Spam… once.
