The long in-the-works Orchard Street Hotel is slated to open next week, according to general manager Angela Fiore. The hotel, at 163 Orchard Street between Rivington and Stanton Streets, is already taking reservations on Booking.com, where a deluxe queen room is going for $129 a night, a 75-percent discount off the original $499.99. The site says there’s an on-site bar, mentions that “certain rooms offer a view of the city,” and touts its proximity to the Lower East Side’s nightlife.

Back in 2011, when the building was on the market for $30 million, The Real Deal reported that the 13,387-square-foot-hotel was slated to have 52 rooms. The 12-story building is owned by Nico Moinian and isn’t the only new hotel on the block; just down the street construction was underway Monday at the 290-room, 23-story Hotel Indigo.

It remains to be seen whether the Orchard will have faux Chesterfield couches like the recently opened Ludlow Hotel. It does have a front patio with picket fencing that, of course, has already been tagged. Welcome to the neighborhood!
