It’s safe to say “Spain’s sexy little island” has jumped the shark with this Times write-up, so go ahead and forget about the Ibiza pop-up we told you about and focus, instead, on this chance to look like you jet to Sweden and Denmark on the regular. Kelly Peterson Cielensky tells us she’s bringing an IRL version of her online Scandinavian boutique, Carl & Ebba, to the Lower East Side this weekend. And there’ll be drinks and Scandi snacks.
Saturday from 2pm to 7pm at the boutique/bar known as The Dressing Room, Cielensky — who moved to Stockholm after eight years in New York — will be selling women’s clothing and accessories by indie designers from Sweden and Denmark, at 5o to 8o percent off. Who knows what she’ll be bringing by, but her site stocks designers like Orjan Andersson (founder of the Cheap Monday jeans brand that H&M bought), Tusnelda Bloch Copenhagen, and Suzywan Deluxe, a Stockholm-based designer of electro-influenced jewelry.
Should you want to keep the Scandi theme going post-shopping-spree, Skal is right down the block.
