If you saw “Scarf Guy” yesterday and thought, “Nice look,” this might be the place for you. Just in time for Fashion Week, Korean label General Idea has landed in the pop-up space we know and love, Open Gallery Space located at 355a Bowery.

The store opened with a champagne-soaked party on Monday, so we waited for the dust to settle and popped over today to see what this place is all about.

Store clerks explained that Fashion Week gave the menswear brand an opportunity to try out a space of its own. The shop will be open in its current location until Sept. 30, which means you, dear readers, have 20 more days to scrape together enough cash to buy yourself a thigh-length tunic constructed of some seriously sporty fabric ($162) and the a pair of fleece-lined black and grey tweed plaid trousers complete with draw string ($340) from GI’s Fall/ Winter 2014 collection.

Though, boho bros need not apply. General Idea is not the kind of gear you’d sport while zooming around on a long board, unless said deck is shaped like a coffin. The F/W 2014 collection exists entirely in grayscale, though it’s heavily weighted towards black. And if you’ve already squandered half your trust fund on winter wear, save the other half for General Idea’s Spring/ Summer 2015 line, which debuted on the runway this week, and will be available for pre-sale at the Bowery pop-up this Friday. And yeah, you can try the stuff on in store, so you’ll get a sense for what it feels like to squish around in those brand new leather track shorts and woolen sweater Ts.

General Idea is open at 355a Bowery from 11am-7pm every day of the week.Â
