Filming of Jim Gaffigan’s postponed CBS pilot is underway. The officially untitled sitcom — which crew members were referring to as Gaffigan — borrows liberally from the 47-year-old comedian’s life, in the same vein as Everybody Loves Raymond. On the show, Gaffigan will also be a New York dad with five kids. Ashley Williams (How I Met Your Mother) has been cast as his wife.
The potential TV spouses were seen toting pink-clad little girls up and down the steps of 21 Stuyvesant Street around 3 p.m, and chatting up Michael Ian Black (Best Week Ever, The State) street side.
When the networks hold their upfronts in May, fall primetime line-ups will be announced. It remains to be seen whether CBS will order a whole season of Gaffigan’s program.
