We’re helping give away tickets for an invite-only shindig celebrating the new season of Billy on the Street — and you don’t even have to get Quizzed in the Face to snag em. All you have to do is sign up for B+B’s newsletter below, and be quick about it: in the new season, Lena Dunham milks a cow in the Meatpacking District.
If you haven’t seen Billy’s clips on Funny or Die or his show on Fuse (Season 3 premieres March 12): basically, he runs around the streets of NYC like an escaped gorilla — sometimes with guests like Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell — and barks questions in people’s faces, occasionally bopping them in the forehead with a mic. He’s Alex Trebek on bath salts.
Billy’s street ambushes first aired during Creation Nation, a live show that played at places like the bygone Apocalypse Lounge in Alphabet City. A decade later, he’s leading Rachel Dratch through a Julia Roberts-themed obstacle course in Williamsburg and playing “It’s Spock! Do You Care?” with Zachary Quinto.
So, yeah: the premiere party is at the Beacon Theater on March 5, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Vulture is giving away tix. Should be fun — maybe Brooke Shields will yell “It’s Meryl fucking Streep!” again. To snag a pair of tickets, just be among the first 50 people to sign up for Bedford + Bowery’s daily newsletter, below, and we’ll put your name on the list, +1.
