Vensaire has already garnered impressive buzz in the Bushwick scene, though their debut LP, Perdix, has yet to be released. The “cinematic concept album,” which follows last year’s The Vensaire EPwas produced and mixed by Grammy-nominated Scott Colburn (Arcade Fire, Animal Collective, Prince Rama) and should be out soon.

This summer was a busy one for the young band: they were “camp counselors” at Wild Honey Pie’s first annual Summer Camp (those videos just dropped yesterday) and enjoyed a residency at the Ace Hotel. Recently, the quintet — comprised of frontman Alex Laliberte, violinist Renata Zeiguer, bassist Hunter Hawes, percussionist Alex Jacobs, and guitarist Robert Earl Thomas (who also plays in Widowspeak and was unavailable for this session) – invited us into their intimate practice space near the Kosciusko J stop in Bushwick and performed “See I’m You,” the first single off of Perdix. Have a listen.
