A 31-year-old man was shot on the Lower East Side early this morning.
Police believe the shooting, which happened around 4 a.m. at 103 Clinton St., was part of an attempted robbery. The gunshot grazed the victim’s face, and he was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he is expected to survive, police said. The perpetrator, described as a man wearing a brown hoodie, evaded capture and was not arrested.
