But prepare yourselves, dwellers of the East Village — the sushi joint’s replacement, Rustico, has unveiled its signage and is set to open “hopefully by next week,” owner Alexey Mokropulo told B+B today.
Forget navigating the perils of mouthing awkwardly-shaped stuffed seaweed; customers of Rustico will have the opportunity to indulge in what will hopefully be more expertly wrapped crêpes. Mokropulo mentioned there will be buckwheat varieties and “healthy stuff,” in addition to Italian espresso.
