The raucous, raunchy slaysians of Bubble_T brought their moveable dance party to MoMA PS1 on Friday night, selling out the contemporary art museum for a wild Lunar New Year celebration.
The museum’s big second-floor gallery was packed with sexy, sweaty revelers who, when they weren’t ripping it up to a stellar series of DJs, filled the space with cries of delight over the various performers and drag artists up on the stage. And because it was Fashion Week here in the big city, the night closed out with a runway show of artist Bailey Skye’s debut collection, ZAH.
Over in PS1’s courtyard, under the VW Dome, a big-screen projector showed a greatest hits reel of fireworks master Cai Guo-Qiang’s most mind-boggling spectacles. There was plenty of booze on hand, as well as food from the M. Wells on-site cafeteria as well as a pop-up night market with the likes of Win Son and Kichin.
Bubble_T throws parties about once a month in venues all over North Brooklyn and thereabouts; follow their Instagram to find out what’s next.
