Clinton Street’s forever in-motion restaurant row is going through another rebirth. Within the last few months it has added Speedy Romeo slinging St. Louis style pizzas, Galeria with Brazilian healthy-ish food, Boba Guys upping the bubble tea game, and next week, a new burger joint to rest our weary tastebuds.

Crack the Code For Classic Cocktails at New LES Speakeasy, Garfunkel’s
When 2nd Floor on Clinton closed last July….a lot of people had no clue (it was a speakeasy, after all).
But for those who liked to head to the back of Barramundi’s (which also shuttered) for a chance to be whisked upstairs, a giant hole opened up in their LES nightlife options. Where to surprise that date when you’re feeling fancy, or unwind after going a little too hard at Pianos? Second Floor was always the perfect combination of class and comfort, with some of the most inventive cocktails around (I was once served a drink garnished with a cluster of enoki mushrooms).
New LES Resto to Serve Fancy Burgers, Upstairs a Speakeasy Named For a Busted Banker
If you were a fan of longtime watering hole Barramundi and its upstairs speakeasy, 2nd Floor on Clinton, we’re afraid you missed last call. The pair of bars had their final hurrah last night, but the good news is the space won’t stay vacant for long if all goes as planned for Tim Gashi (Rocky Slims). The restauranteur plans to open a Criff Dog style hamburger joint/speakeasy combo that he’s hoping will help revitalize the LES block.
