A week ago, the folks at Macaron Parlour emailed to let us know that they’re opening the city’s first permanent cat cafe at 46 Hester Street. Unlike last time, this time it’s for real. Customers will be able to nibble on homemade pastries and sip coffee from Blue Bottle or tea from Harney & Sons while they get anywhere from 30 minutes ($4) to five hours ($30) of QT with cats that can then be adopted from KittyKind. The cats, we’re told, will have “bespoke playpens,” and there’ll be free wifi in case you want to, you know, watch cat videos.
