Public Morals — a TV pilot about police in the ’60s from executive producer Steven Spielberg — is filming today in the East Village. Star Ed Burns wrote the script and is directing the episode.

According to Deadline, Burns plays Terry Muldoon, a cop and father of four who is in a moral bind: he wants to raise law-abiding sons, but much of his daily grind involves ne’er-do-wells. Parenthood actress Lyndon Smith has been cast as Mrs. Muldoon. Additional cast members include Wass Stevens (The Wrestler, House of Cards) and Elizabeth Masucci (Shame).
