Following the closure of Prima last summer, Mathieu Palombino of beloved Williamsburg-East Village pizzeria Motorino is bringing classic French cuisine to the Bowery with La Gamelle. Named for the popular, long-gone restaurant in Soho, the new La Gamelle was designed with the help of the original’s owner, Alex Gherab, and offers up brasserie staples.
