Eyvind Kang Residency at the Stone

Starting on July 2nd, Violist and composer, Eyvind Kang sets up shop at the Stone for six days of, well, whatever he feels like performing. In this case, that includes a trio with pianist, Adrienne Varner and Miguel Frasconi who, according to his website, uses “instrumentarium of glass objects to create music from a uniquely imagined tradition. His glass instruments are struck, blown, stroked, smashed, and otherwise coaxed into vibration.” And that’s just day one.
