CSS at The Bowery Ballroom

The Brazilian new rave band CSS takes their name from an acronym of “cansei de ser sexy,” which translates from Portuguese as “I got tired of being sexy.” It’s taken from a reported quote by Beyoncé. The band’s latest single, the infectious, tropical-flavored “Hits Me Like a Rock” (featuring Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie) has become a summer favorite, perfect for both backyard barbeques and all night dance parties.
