At the 30th year of the SXSW Music, Film and Interactive Conferences and Festivals, Alia Shawkat told a crowd that she went to Sarah Lawrence for two days before bouncing, because she was told she had to go to a mandatory pizza party. “There can’t be a mandatory pizza party,” she said. She moved to New York and basically took a year off, which answered a few questions as to why she seemed to vanish after the end of Arrested Development.
Calling all never nudes! And just regular AD fans, too. Hang out with your friends (and make new ones–how can you not love a stranger in jorts?) while watching Arrested Development and playing bingo. Only one episode of Comedy Central’s Broad City has aired so far (the second airs 10:30 p.m. tonight), but the ratings must have been stupendous — stars Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson are going on a 15-state tour.

The 56-hour comedy extravaganza known as the Del Close Marathon took place over the weekend. For the improv nerds amongst us, this was the chance to see some of the country’s most talented improv comedians performing at the height of their craft. For the more casual viewer, it was a chance to stalk celebrities, not to mention a whole lot of hey-you-look-familiar faces, running the gamut from Apatow-film-cameo to “that guy from The Office.” Here’s what we took away from it all.
