[UPDATED] Man Fatally Shot Three People and Killed Himself in East Williamsburg

A man shot and killed three people — possibly bandmates — early this morning in East Williamsburg before turning the gun on himself.

Police responding to reports of gunfire at 318 Maujer Street, between Waterbury St. and Morgan Ave., found three people shot to death and a shooter dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A fifth person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition, with a gunshot wound to the arm.

Man Shot During Possible Robbery-Gone-Bad on Clinton

A 31-year-old man was shot on the Lower East Side early this morning.

Police believe the shooting, which happened around 4 a.m. at 103 Clinton St., was part of an attempted robbery. The gunshot grazed the victim’s face, and he was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he is expected to survive, police said. The perpetrator, described as a man wearing a brown hoodie, evaded capture and was not arrested.

Bushwick Residents Call For Gun Control in Wake of Shooting Near Police Station

Local elected officials attended an open meeting in Bushwick today, at the site of a shooting in broad daylight on Saturday that left five people hospitalized. Residents, most of them Hispanic, gathered on the sidewalk at Menahan Street and Knickerbocker Ave, holding signs that demanded “Stop Gun Trafficking.”
