Come Watch Three New Episodes of ‘High Maintenance’ and Meet the Creators

Great news, folks: Bedford + Bowery is screening three brand-new episodes of “High Maintenance,” followed by a Q&A with creators Ben Sinclair and Katja Blichfeld. Naturally, we’ll also be serving up free munchies, beer and wine at Bedford + Bowery’s newsroom Friday, Feb. 6.

If you’ve never seen this smash-hit web series, well, it’s time to fix that, ASAP, by RSVPing below. The series from husband-and-wife team Sinclair and Blichfeld has garnered unanimously rave reviews since it premiered back in 2012, with the New Yorker‘s Emily Nussbaum calling it “luxurious and twisty and humane, radiating new ideas about storytelling.” Funny and poignant, idiosyncratic and relatable in equal measure, the show chronicles the urban voyages of a nameless weed dealer, played by Sinclair, as he visits his diverse clientele, from a cross-dressing Brooklyn screenwriter played by Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey) to a stand-up comedian in a crisis (Hannibal Buress).

Catch up on season one for free here — the first half of season two is available to purchase on Vimeo.

The event will take place Friday, Feb. 6, at 6pm at 20 Cooper Square. RSVP below by signing up for Bedford + Bowery’s newsletter, featuring our top news and culture stories from downtown Manhattan and North Brooklyn. Entry is limited to the first 90 people to sign up (we’ll send confirmation) — those who register after will get a chance to watch the episodes for free online (we’re giving away 10 pass codes at random). Good luck — we hope to see you there!
