This week, we asked Mr. Throwback what his childhood snack of choice was. Gushers? Fruit Roll-Ups? Fun Dip? Bugles? Damn, the ’90s had good snacks.

Yes, all of those artificial ingredient-laden treats were fun and delicious, but Mr. Throwback went with the most fun and delicious treat of them all: Dunk-a-roos!

Mr. Throwback Wants to Swim in a Bowl of Oat Bran, Rick Moranis-Style

This week, Mr. Throwback selects an actor who permeated our childhood but disappeared without warning.

Rick Moranis first gained comedic notoriety in the early ’80s as a cast member on the renowned Canadian sketch comedy series, Second City Television (other prominent cast members included John Candy, Catherine O’Hara and Martin Short). Moranis went on to star in Hollywood comedy classics like Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Little Giants, Spaceballs and, of course, Ghostbusters.

Mr. Throwback Goes Nuts For Space Jam and Has the Custom Sneakers to Prove It

This week, Mr. Throwback ate an Oreo cookie inside of another cookie and hung out with Kid Cudi. He also selected the theme song from Space Jam as his throwback pick of the week. The 1996 live-action/animated cinematic masterpiece stars Michael Jordan as Michael Jordan (it’s the part he was born to play), who in 1993 retires from basketball to attempt a career as a baseball player (which, unfortunately, actually happened).

Everyone’s favorite connoisseur of all things retro and nostalgic, Mr. Throwback, gives us his weekly blast from the past.

Though nearly everyone who grew up in the ’90s feels a visceral connection to Full House, few have a tangible connection to the classic television series. As you might have guessed, Mr. Throwback is one of those lucky few. For those of you who are very, very young or Mennonites (though if you were a Mennonite, you probably wouldn’t be reading this) Full House was a family sitcom that aired on ABC for eight glorious seasons. The show follows the life of Danny Tanner, a recently widowed news anchor, as he raises his three daughters with the help of his friend, Joey Gladstone, and his brother-in-law, the oh so dreamy Jesse Katsopolis. Everyone’s favorite connoisseur of all things retro and nostalgic, Mr. Throwback, gives us his weekly blast from the past.

Whether you’re a Toad, a Peach or a Bowser, most agree that Super Mario Kart is one of if not the best video games of all time (According to Guinness it is. They granted the Super Mario Kart series top billing in their top 50 console games. The rankings were awarded based on “initial impact and lasting legacy”). Launched in Japan on August 27, 1992, the game features Mario, Luigi and their pals fighting for first and deploying red shells at anyone who stands in their way. Watch as Mr. Throwback takes on the classic Mario circuit with his preferred character, Toad.
