You know the cat café phenomenon is hitting a peak when Miley Cyrus shows up.

On Monday she graced Meow Parlour on Hester Street with her presence, sporting her “normal” look (fuzzy red newsboy cap that looks like it belongs on Sesame Street, a plain baggy white sweatshirt and what might be pajama bottoms). The employees look pretty stoked, but what if Miley was there to add new blood to her “Dead Petz” collection? Just kidding– her real pets have their own Instagram accounts, like Shanti Om. And of course, don’t forget her pet pig Bubba Sue, who famously made her debut on the cover of Paper mag with a nude Miley.

Last week, organizers behind the hotly anticipated NYC Porn Film Festival finally released a schedule. And with just a couple of weeks to go until things are in full swing at Secret Project Robot, you’re probably wondering what on earth to expect.

We spoke with the festival’s founder Simon Leahy, who’s also one of the people behind Bushwig, the annual (and amazing) drag fest held at Secret Project Robot approaching its fourth year. He dropped hints about some of the surprises in store. No matter what your feelings are about mainstream porn, you’re definitely not going to want to miss this one, we can tell you that much.

Our Miley Moment, and 99 Other Images From Art Basel and Miami Art Week

LAMPSHADE

For me, Peak Basel came sometime around midnight Saturday, when a young man toting a volume of F. Scott Fitzgerald strolled into Nobu flanked by a pair of semi-naked women with disco-ball pasties and lampshades for heads; the dining room burst into adoring applause as the trio briefly presented itself to a corner booth occupied by Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger.

Few people personify the downtown New York aesthetic like Chris Stein. As the guitarist of Blondie, he’s helped to define—and defy—what people talk about when they talk about New York. Fortunately for us, he was documenting his adventures in the dangerous old New York, as proven in his book of photographs. These were shown at the Chelsea Hotel in September, and a new show opened yesterday on the other side of the pond at the Somerset House in London.

Don't Get It Twisted: This Is THE Best 'Wrecking Ball' Parody

Screen Shot 2014-07-08 at 5.56.37 PMAs we donned our machinist goggles to survey the invitation for Steampunk Weekend’s Lost Circus, one thing stood out (which is saying a lot): The Balloonatic. Immediately, we poked around to see if The Balloonatic’s “extreme balloons” could be seen online, and the below video is what we found (you’ll need to be signed into Facebook to see it).

My Favorite ’90s Sitcom Star Walked in on My Makeout Sesh With a 16-Year-Old

I woke up to a text from photographer Brianna Capozzi asking if I could fill in for an agency model who didn’t show up to set. After telling her I was free to shoot, I received a photograph of a guy with shaggy hair in his face and was told I would have to make out with him. I was apprehensive. I don’t often enjoy sticking my tongue in a random stranger’s mouth while a roomful of people watch, but it was for a fashion spread in a magazine of which I’m a fan, so I obliged.
